RALEIGH - Following a public input period that ended on Monday, May 4, 2021, the North Carolina Department of Commerce made official a change to the North Carolina Film and Entertainment Grant guidelines with regards to the start of principal photography requirement.

The change extends the timeframe in which an awardee must begin principal photography from 120 days of receiving confirmation of a grant award to 180 days.

The updated Guidelines became effective today, May 10, 2021.
