Environmental Media Association

The North Carolina Film Office believes in the standards set forth by the Environmental Media Association (EMA) for sustaininable "green" filmmaking practices. The Environmental Media Association believes that through television, film and music, the entertainment community has the power to influence the environmental awareness of millions of people. Whether in a production office or on set, EMA's Green Seal Program and Green Seal Guidelines offer realistic and simple tips for lessening a project's carbon footprint.

EMA's Green Seal Program seeks to recognize those productions that choose to embody and promote sustainable ideals. The Green Seal is the ultimate goal of the program, publicly acknowledging those productions that have chosen to incorporate sustainable initiatives into their productions and that have sought to be identified by applying for a Green Seal of recognition.

A breakdown of the objectives for the Green Seal Program are in the navigation bar to the left.
